24 Brilliant Moments from NBC's Community Caught in Animated GIFs

By Dustin Rowles | Posted Under Seriously Random Lists | Comments (23)

There is no comedy on television right now better than NBC’s “Community,” and there arguably hasn’t been a better comedy on television since “Arrested Development” left the air. If you haven’t given it a chance, maybe a few of these memorable moments captured in GIF format will convince you. If you have seen it, here’s your opportunity to relive those moments. If you don’t care one way or another, and just want to see Joel McHale do shirtless pull ups or Alison Brie expose her cleavage, well, these are good for that, too.

I'm sicker than a flu virus with AIDS today, but this post cheered me up to the rooftops.

. . .

Now back to avoiding becoming "The Vomit Guy" at work.

That awkward kiss gif would be my favorite, but then I saw the legit kiss. New fave.

I want the one where they all look at each other with "maybe eyes" untile it goes from hot to awkward.

No Senor Chang pop-n-locking? For shame!

Every time Troy dances a puppy or kitten does something cute for the Internet. You need to thank him.

Donald Glover and I are getting married... as soon as I charge my taser.

So I pickedup season 1 on DVD, and discovered there were like 3 or 4 episodes I hadn't seen! I was simultaneously appalled and thrilled. I'm almost through it, and I want to start it all over again. I may call out sick to work one day for it.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at December 9, 2010 12:16 PM

@Anna von Beav: I know! I think I might ruin the discs from watching the season 1 DVD so much. I even just turn it on to have in the background when I'm writing or working on other things. It just... soothes me. I've even listened to the commentary tracks multiple times.

I may have a problem. But I can't help that Community is becoming my favorite TV show of all time, ever. Or, that Hulu only has like the last three episodes from this season up, and they don't have more even if you pay for their subscription service. Until they do that, they ain't gettin' my money!

hup...

It moved.

Abed's lizard vampire is one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television.

If only there was one of Troy dragging himself out of the room in the psyc study episode...

Posted by: dsbs at December 9, 2010 1:36 PM

Oh, I haven't even STARTED the commentary tracks yet. I was re-watching all the episodes first.

Hm. Maybe you have a point.... I think I'll make some backup copies. That seems like a good idea.

Wait, I thought the whole point of paying for Hulu was that they had all that stuff available! HA. Glad I didn't get suckered into that, then.

@AvB: Yeah, some friends served as my canary. Their tweets of pain saved me some cashola.

@superasente: I have the weirdest boner right now.

Troy doing the cowboy hat dance absolutely kills me every time.

Abed lizard vampire! Abed lizard vampire! If I could make a screensaver for the backs of my eyelids, that might be it.

And also, agree about the DVDs. One of the best sets I've ever purchased after Freaks and Geeks and My So-Called Life for all of the bonus features you get. Amazing.

I don't know what I love more, Abed lizard vampire or Troy gettin' down in the cowboy hat. This totally made me day.

I actually find Britta hotter than Annie and the one where she and Jeff finally kiss for realsies is doing it for me. I'm all over that for the rest of the afternoon.

Posted by: becks at December 9, 2010 3:35 PM

jM, have you seen him do standup? Or sing? He's a ridiculously talented person.

Dibs.

The commentary tracks are great fun. I love Community for pandering to me with so many extra features on my DVD. I don't even feel bad for paying full price for it, because they can take my damn money as long as they keep making episodes.

I love Annie and Alison, but I'm glad to hear there are people out there who like Britta, because Gillian Jacobs is cool and deserves more love.

Where's Troy krumping?!

I have, esme. He's so multifaceted. There's nothing he can't do.

Don't make me cut you.

My favourite one, although it's not up there, is when Annie gives Britta a highfive and then she turns it into a snake: http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh202/soulonice858/com-115-gif-001.gif?t=1291948612

Tonight's Community was possibly the best one yet. Wow.

Posted by: trippdup at December 9, 2010 10:20 PM

I'm completely exhausted after working an 11 hour day then working on a paper that is due tomorrow for 3 hours. I should go to sleep, but I am going to watch episode one of my Community Season 1 that arrived yesterday! THANKS for inspiring me :)

Posted by: petalfrog at December 9, 2010 11:37 PM

What about the one where Annie squirms around the floor during the conspiracy episode?

I love, love, love the Abed vampire lizard.

Is there any way I can use one or two of your gifs in my blog? ;D I would cite you as my source of course :).
