I’m incapable of hearing the main riff in Phil Collin’s 1989 hit ‘Another Day In Paradise’ without thinking of the intro melody of ‘Cry For The Nations’ by Michael Schenker Group.

It’s a fairly standard progression to be fair, and a few of those interval sequences are identical, so it makes sense. But still: Whenever I hear one, I instantly hear the other.
