Way back in 2013, before the timeline diverged, scientists found that white mice could have taste bud receptors located in their tiny mouse junk. By 2017, when we were fully into the Worst Timeline, scientists revealed that humans also have taste buds in their junk, although they are internal. They also occur in other organs of the human body, such as the intestines and lungs.
This is 2020 and no one has the time nor the inclination to read all of the details when science is telling you your ballsack has those things that taste food, OK? No one cares that they aren’t hooked up to the pathways to our brain that interpret the molecules and helps us taste, OKAY?
What do men do when they briefly hear a portion of a scientific study that allows them to experiment with their twig and berries on a social media site? THEY WHIP OUT THEIR WEDDING TACKLE AND START SCIENCE-ING.
That’s why TikTok is currently full of scientists attempting to test the hypothesis that their testicle cases are able to taste soy sauce.

Listen, folks. You cannot taste with your sperm pocketbooks, OK?
For the record, if they exist they don’t work LOL— Orasha HS (@JeffreyBaumann6) January 22, 2020
“A number of studies have shown that various tissues have taste receptors - including various parts of the gut, the liver and (yes) the testicles. These have largely been conducted, however, in animals, and the study that seems to have sparked this TikTok ‘taste’ trend was performed on mice.”
“The study (or any that have followed) hasn’t shown that any animal can actually ‘taste’ via these receptors like we’d taste something from the mouth. There is no scientific or medical evidence to back up any claims that men (of any species) can actually taste things through their junk.”
“So while the fact that there might be taste receptors in the testicles is pretty damn interesting, it unfortunately doesn’t mean (at least unfortunate for TikTok soy sauce users) there’s any evidence they can actually taste things.” - Dr. Kieren Kennedy via Men’s Health
I do, however, invite you to keep experimenting if you don’t believe the experts. Perhaps dip the boys into a container full of hot sauce and let me know if you taste the burn.
