Ever wish real-life romance could be more like the movies? You’d catch the eye of a smoking hot stranger from across the room. Boom! Attraction hits hard, and to your delight you find you’re on the same wavelength as you move toward each other. Then, you break into a fantastic, choreographed dance number! Then, maybe you’ll learn each other’s names.

That is the premise of the UK dating show Flirty Dancing. Now in its second season overseas, this Channel 4 show takes singles (of ages and sexual orientations) seeking love and teaches them a dance number choreographed by Ashley Banjo. But here’s the tricky bit: They learn the moves separate from their potential match. Then their meet-cute is the first performance together. And from the look of this clip that went viral on Twitter, it’s pure, heart-melting magic.

If all that sweetness didn’t make you tear up, you might want to consult your doctor. If you want more details on this debonair gay couple, check out Pink News.

So the good news is Flirty Dancing is coming the US in December with Step Up’s Jenna Dewan as its host. The bad news is that Fox producers have toyed with the formula to make it more dramatic or some sh*t.

In the UK version, two partners are paired through the dance, and after it’s done get to decide if there are enough sparks to go on a date from there. In the US spinoff, one single will do two dances, each with a different partner. Then, they will pick the one they’re more interested in. Because godtopus forbid we have something romantic and sweet that not be ruined by a competition angle that’s likely to leave one person feeling dejected and heartbroken each week.

America’s version of Flirty Dancing premieres December 29. Now if anyone can tell me where to watch the UK version, sound off in comments.
