'The Flash': Rage Is A Good Look For Iris In This Deleted Scene

This clip is only a minute long. It was deleted from the mid-season finale episode. And it features probably the best performance from Candice Patton in the history of the show. Forget supportive Iris, or death-wish Iris, or other-timeline cop Iris. Move aside barista Iris and journalist Iris and conveniently-doesn’t-realize-her-pseudo-brother-has-loved-her-forever Iris. This shit right here? This is Rage Iris. “You Fucked With My Honeymoon” Iris. And she’s THE BEST OF ALL POSSIBLE IRISES.

The premise: Team Flash’s new recruit Ralph Dibny decides to catch up on Stranger Things (or, as he calls it, “Ten hours of nervous breakdown-Winona Ryder”) using the fancy monitors in Star Labs while everyone is gone. Only he doesn’t understand how anything works, and he ends up setting off an alarm… which brings Barry and Iris rushing back from their beach honeymoon. Understandably, they’re not thrilled by the interruption.

Which, like, RELATABLE. I’d be pissed if I lost out on my tiny umbrella cocktails too. Why would anyone delete this?!
