Meghan King Regrets Marrying Cuffe Biden Owens

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King made her long-awaited return to Watch What Happens Live last week, and Andy Cohen didn’t waste any time asking her about Cuffe Biden Owens, whom she married in October 2021, only to announce their split a few months later.

“Meghan I’ve gotta ask you about Cuffe Biden,” Cohen said.

“Really?” she responded.

“Do you think that if you had waited longer to get married it would have gone on longer?” he asked.

“No,” she replied. “It would have gone on shorter.”

Cohen then asked if the president and first lady, who attended the wedding, knew about the Housewives. King rolled her eyes, looking uncomfortable.

“I wasn’t thinking about that,” she said.

She was excited to tell him what the president gave her as a wedding gift, though: a “crystal bowl with the Presidential Seal on it.”

“Who got to keep it?” Cohen asked. King pointed at herself. “You kept it? All right!” Cohen yelled, standing up to give her a high five.

“So, maybe it was worth it,” Cohen wondered.

“No, Andy, it was not,” King said.

King also talked about the marriage on the podcast Divorced Not Dead, saying she was “confused” by the relationship and “glad that it was short and sweet and it’s done and it’s annulled.” She claimed that she “didn’t ever want to get married again, but it was important to him.”

She hasn’t given up hope, though.

“I have a whole lot of love to give, and these bad relationships that I’ve been in haven’t knocked me down. And that’s just who I am, I feel like I’m resilient. I want to give my whole heart, but I think I’m a little more guarded than I was in the past.”
