Last night RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 saw the return of the eliminated queens, and a lot of drama. Milk versus Kennedy. Aja versus Bebe. Morgan versus Bendela. Everyone versus Trixie because Thorgy got to stir the pot. And then things got really wild.
Spoilers
Hey, so you want to know what’s insanely infuriating? I didn’t see all of “Handmaids to Kitty.” I don’t have cable, so I rely on an iTunes subscription to keep current with All Stars 3. AND for unknown reasons, the iTunes upload lacks the ending of the this week’s ep. But it doesn’t just cut off. It leaps from Bebe and Bendela considering their lipsticks, then jumps to the “NEXT WEEK ON ALL STARS” promo. At first I thought the ep did this on purpose, but that’d be a weird place to end it. And why give away in the trailer that Morgan Michaels is back next week? Then I went to World of Wonder’s youtube channel to see what it’s behind the scenes post was about if there wasn’t an eliminated queen. And THAT’s how I found out BenDeLaCreme fell on her sword.
So, I’m steamed. Of all the eps for this to happen on!
But I don’t want my personal nightmare to hold up your funtimes in comments. So, here’s what I do know: the producers brought the eliminated queens back for a team challenge that gave one of the gone girls a chance to re-enter the game. Aja shined, finally pulling out of the “sweet” schtick to do something interesting. And overall the team seemed to kill the girl group routine. Yet somehow not only did the Top 5 still win, but also Bebe was in the top two again. I just don’t get it. But whatever.
Back in the workroom, Bebe and Bendela are basically swarmed by queens making their case for why they should stay. And bless Chi Chi for throwing shade with “I don’t want to be the Roxxy Andrews of All Stars 3.” (Chi Chi, we love you.) And all this pressure is really getting to Bendela, who has been the frontrunner for much of the season. So, are the message board rumors true that the pressure cracked this could-be champion and sent her home on her own volition? MAYBE!
Here’s World of Wonder’s video. I haven’t watched it because I’m waiting on actually seeing the end of the episode. Please respect my privacy in this time of grief and irritation.
