On Monday, stars of Mad Men, Jon Hamm and John Slattery, appeared on TODAY to promote their new movie Maggie Moore(s), but the conversation took a turn when Savannah Guthrie asked Hamm about his alleged fandom of the Real Housewives franchise, which Hamm confirmed. When asked which Housewives city was his favorite, Hamm responded, “Well, I’m a Jersey man.”

“I’m agog,” remarked Slattery about his castmate’s revelation.

Hamm continued, “I’m a Vanderpumper. I’m a Beverly Hills-ian. I like New York.”

Jon and John next appeared on the talk-show home base of Bravo, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, on Tuesday night, right after the third installment of the Jersey reunion aired. Cohen asked Hamm whose side he was on in the Giudice/Gorga feud.

“I have to say, I think I’m definitely leaning on the side of the Gorgas in this argument. It seems very unfortunate,” he answered, echoing the rallying cries of Jersey fans everywhere, who have been following the rollercoaster relationship between Teresa Giudice, her brother Joe Gorga, and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga for 13 seasons.

“Your feelings about Luis and the Bo Dietl of it all?” Cohen then asked. One of the biggest points of contention during season 13 of Jersey was whether or not Teresa’s then-fiancé, now husband, Luis Ruelas, hired a private investigator, Bo Dietl, to dig up dirt on his castmates. Luis seemingly admitted to this during the season but has since denied the allegation.

“Very shady, and I don’t support that choice,” Hamm responded, joining the rest of the cast of Jersey in assuming Ruelas did, in fact, hire Dietl.

“What was your entry point to Bravo?” Cohen asked. Hamm remarked that at first, he became interested in Andy Cohen himself, as they are both from St. Louis, but then explained, “This last couple of years, maybe the pandemic proved a fruitful time to dig deep into this stuff,” thereby further cementing his place as the Hollywood Every-Man. “I’m digging in with both hands,” he concluded.

John Slattery remained silent during the exchange.
