It would have been a little TOO on the nose to set this Disney series’ release date for May the Fourth. At least the marketing team dropped the trailer on the right day.

In case you haven’t been obsessively following along with the development of this series here’s the logline:

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

In addition to Ewan McGregor reprising his role as Obi Wan, the Obi Wan Kenobi series also features Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Hayden Christensen will also return in his role as Darth Vader (!!!)

Obi Wan Kenobi is a six-part series directed by Deborah Chow, (The Mandalorian, Better Call Saul, American Gods, Mr. Robot) and begins streaming on Disney+ May 27th.
