Last night, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost and Michael Che hosted the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards. And according to Twitter, their performance ranged from meh to outright awful. I don’t know, because I didn’t watch the Emmys. Because Dustin can literally not pay me enough to endure the comedy stylings of a smug jar of lite mayo and a sexist crybaby. So, I ask with all sincerity: Did the best joke at the 2018 Emmys happen—not on stage—but on the red carpet?
Enter comedian Emily Heller and her Getty Images purse.
You know who was really excited to take pictures of this purse? @gettyimages.

Heller was likely at the Emmys because she’s a writer on Barry, the HBO comedy series that won Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for Bill Hader and Henry Winkler respectively. And when she had her moments in front of the cameras, she used it for a deeply, deliciously nerdy visual joke. Her purse—held straight and low—was an IRL Getty Images watermark, complete with their standard grey bar. Which she shows she just about nailed by posting a few Getty Images pics with that watermark.
Forget Jost and Che’s tired nonsense. Heller’s goofy visual gag slayed. But was it the best joke of the night? You tell me. Sound off in comments.
