50 'Return of the Jedi' Behind the Scenes Photos: More Magical Than Brooklyn Decker's Fake O-Face

reddit user join_you_in_the_sun shared some excellent photos from the set of 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Since JJ Abram’s upcoming lens-flarestravaganza Star Wars is nigh, I thought it would be nice to look at these and think about a simpler time, a time when computers weren’t used to blind you in the name of film-making. A time when stunt people were wrapped in foam and practical effects ruled the day. A time when Salacious B. Crumb was Jabba the Hutt’s right-flank…uh, man.

You can peruse all of the photos here, but these are my favorites. Also, yes, some of you have seen these before, but you’re not the only one on the internet! GAWL.

The most awkward lap dance ever or a puppeteer hard at work? YOU DECIDE!
