reddit user join_you_in_the_sun shared some excellent photos from the set of 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Since JJ Abram’s upcoming lens-flarestravaganza Star Wars is nigh, I thought it would be nice to look at these and think about a simpler time, a time when computers weren’t used to blind you in the name of film-making. A time when stunt people were wrapped in foam and practical effects ruled the day. A time when Salacious B. Crumb was Jabba the Hutt’s right-flank…uh, man.
