I don’t know if it’s because I’ve quite recently become a full-blown horror fan, or it’s just a side effect of the ever-growing mountain of real world bullsh*t you have to deal with the older you get, but I find myself getting more of a kick out of any kind of mystery story now than any time since probably childhood. There’s just something about that liminal space between experiencing something inexplicable and it then being explained and grounded. That ephemeral moment where boundless possibility seems to open up for just a second, and a lifetime’s with of jaded certainty wobbles just a little in its foundations.

Plus, you know, weird sh*t is just cool innit?
