Well, it’s that time, another season of Survivor in the books, and with it, our most shared experience show goes on break until the fall.
While this always tends to lead us to believe that all of a sudden we’ll run out of television to watch, you and I both know better by now. After all, there’s always another show coming or going.
Even this week, as we said goodbye to this season of The Last of Us (where Tori predicted some things) and nearly reach the end of season four of Hacks (where Dustin predicted some things), there are plenty of new shows to take in. Like the new Netflix show Sirens, not to be confused with the two season USA Network Denis Leary/Bob Fisher comedy from a decade ago.
Which, now that I’m thinking about it, really was kind of a golden era for fun/entertaining comedies on USA. I mean, you had Sirens, you had Playing House, even Benched was pretty fun. But like so many other networks, USA decided around that time that it was time to pivot to “prestige”, which definitely worked out for them.
