Just to be clear, we are probably never becoming a video podcast — while I understand there is an audience there to be found, I think the three of us are definitely much more comfortable allowing our disembodied voices to represent us out in the world, rather than asking any of you to stare at our faces for some reason.
That being said: if Dustin rocked a Tom Colicchio look every week, I think we would have no choice.
Anyway, on to this week’s show, which began with much nonsense, including but not limited to talking about various alcohol misadventures (151 is a very dangerous substance in my experience) and, somehow, an extended, probably incorrect discussion of elements of WWE history, mostly focused on Mankind and Mr. Socko!
Then, when we finally got around to current television, we started by visiting the new(ish) Amazon Prime comedy Overcompensating (which I enjoyed, but maybe not quite as much as Dustin, at least not yet). After that, Dustin and Tori let me know about a show that I probably will enjoy once I watch it, AppleTV+’s new comedy Stick! And finally, we managed to wrap up with some reality/competition fare, specifically with a bit of Top Chef heading into tomorrow’s finale, and Clarkson’s Farm, which Tori notes somehow continues to exist despite some, uh, claims previously made by Amazon.
Podjiba! The television podcast that will, as a reminder, soon be rewatching some episodes of Mr. Show for fun and profit, can be found anywhere podcasts are available, including below!
