Are you, like me, nostalgic for the 90s-era live action Great Teacher Onizuka, now on Netflix (along with the 2026 revival, where he apparently still can’t get it together despite being very enthusiastic about teaching)?
Probably not, but if you are, don’t worry, they spend much of the first episode of the revival cramming as many returning characters inexplicably into the first few minutes before sending Onizuka on his way to his new job (where, again, despite teaching for three decades now, he still seems inexplicably bad at the job, but people keep hiring him! There’s a lesson in there somewhere).
For everyone else: this week Dustin and Tori talked more about the latest episode of Silo! We also got in a bit of Tori’s animation corner, thanks to X-Men ‘97 and King of the Hill both being back. And Dustin’s love of post-apocalyptic television continues to expand, whether it’s another visit to The Walking Dead: Dead City, or Stuart Fails to Save the Universe!
Another week where we swore at first we had nothing to discuss, only to have another full hour of nonsense.
