At what speed are you watching television?
This seems like it should be an absurd question, but in our case, we’ve finally discovered that it may be the most important one to ask Dustin before he gives his impression of a show.
Case in point: in this week’s discussion of the Nathan Fielder/Emma Stone/Benny Safdie show The Curse on Showtime, Dustin revealed that he enjoyed the show (and specifically, the show’s tension) much more when he watched at normal speed, instead of his regular weird sped-up version.
What a shocking discovery.
Anyway, will we remember to keep asking Dustin how much he’s speeding up every show? Maybe! Although it is entirely possible that we manage to quickly forget to hold him accountable, and he will return to providing his opinions without this very important caveat attached!
As for the rest of this week’s podcast: after a moderately lengthy beginning in which we mostly talked about Thanksgiving foods, we finally got into television as we discussed the most recent episodes of Survivor and The Curse, before getting into Dustin’s Animation Corner with Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and Invincible (only one of which Dustin has actually seen). We then finish out the episode with two new long-titled dramas, FX/Hulu’s A Murder At The End Of The World, and AppleTV+’s Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters.
Podjiba! Now on our fourth American Thanksgiving, is available everywhere podcasts are, including below.
