This week on the show: concert talk! I want to make clear that I stand by all my opinions.
But also, in the middle of our concert talk discussion, there’s a small portion that had to be omitted from the episode because of a clip of music that was played — the surprisingly catchy theme song for What’s New, Scooby Doo? by notable Canadian band Simple Plan.
It might not be playable in the episode, but if you want to hear it, their official lyric video is here:
The early 2000s were truly a different time.
Anyway, outside of music opinions (and a strange interruption by GHOST ALEXA), we did eventually also get around to TV talk! Besides my slow walk toward the end of season one of The Umbrella Academy (now up to episode 8), we also focused a lot of our energy (thanks to Tori) on Survivor and Fallout (note: some SPOILERS for the whole season!) and Shogun.
Other quick hits include: Dustin’s shock at the events taking place in AppleTV+’s historical drama Manhunt (SPOILER: John Wilkes Booth does not get away) and the not-historical reality competition The Amazing Race, as well as initial thoughts on HBO’s new show The Sympathizer (more on that in future weeks as Tori and I catch up).
Podjiba! Apparently, sometimes we have music opinions, and when we do, they can be found anywhere podcasts are available, including below!
