This week on Podjiba, it’s a little bit of the calm before the storm.
After all, this week (but after we recorded the show), the fall network TV schedule began, bringing with it the hope that some of these shows will be good and enter our weekly rotation! (earliest contenders: High Potential on ABC and Matlock on CBS. Oh no wait did we finally age into this demographic?)
Plus, there’s the highly anticipated Agatha All Along on Disney+, and the return of From (for Dustin and Tori, at least) on MGM+ to watch. And that doesn’t even include the return of Survivor to our weekly coverage!
Basically, what I’m saying is that our new quiz-and-mostly-three-shows-a-week format will be tested.
But this week, we ended up doing an inadvertent Hulu week with our selections! After the quiz, we went into more discussion of FX/Hulu’s English Teacher, as well as Hulu’s new comedy How To Die Alone (the tldr here, at least for us: it has moments, but feels like it’s trying to be too many things at once). Then, we went to our resident (and The Resident) expert Dustin for his thoughts on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which was more interesting than he expected!
Podjiba! The television podcast that will definitely be dedicating time to Survivor next week is available anywhere podcasts are, including below!
