One of the ongoing projects here at Podjiba HQ (to be clear, housed in a totally separate facility from Pajiba HQ) has been our longstanding desire to have Dustin watch more shows from Asia. And thanks to the inroads many of the streamers (but especially Netflix) have made there, in recent months we’ve seen Dustin enjoy things as far afield from his traditional lane of Dad TV as Netflix’s recent K-Drama My Demon!
But this week Dustin cleared a whole new hurdle in his ongoing foray into Korean TV, as he watched all of Netflix’s comedy Chicken Nugget, which he “didn’t hate,” which we all know is Dustin for he loved it. He’s basically Mikey in the Life cereal commercial:
Besides getting into heavy spoilers for the show (sorry!) we also look briefly at the controversy that’s led the show to get review-bombed on IMDB. Also: Tori and I obviously loved this one, and you can look for her more in-depth review coming up soon!
We also covered our current weekly watches: Shogun on FX and Survivor on CBS, and debated our way through the round of eight in the 2024 FFQCC. Results below!
