This week, a brand new segment which we may or may not keep going: TV After Ten (Minutes)! In which I will judge a show entirely on the first ten minutes that I’ve seen.
In the inaugural segment, we covered HBO’s Task, which, after ten minutes of viewing, I have deemed: good! (Whether or not I keep watching is up in the air, but should not be taken as a statement on the show’s general quality.) And in a bonus version of the segment, I also remembered that I’ve seen ten minutes of Peacemaker (season 1). Also good!
I think this segment is perfect for our show (and the amount of time I have available for new things). If you want to recommend something that I can devote ten minutes to, let me know!
Elsewhere this week, we react to the cast announcement/trailer for The Celebrity Traitors UK, which is coming out soon (in the UK, elsewhere in the world you will probably have to wait or perhaps there are other places to get them, I think I redd it somewhere), which has Dustin very excited! Perhaps even more excited than he has been for AppleTV+’s Acapulco, since this might be the first time he’s ever mentioned it on the podcast (four seasons into the show). Tori also gave us a bit of a preview of The Lowdown (which is now out in the world), and Dustin talked his favorite new show of all time, Netflix’s Black Rabbit.
