Iñaki Godoy, for the 'We Liked Him Before Anyone Else' Bragging Rights

Not to be all pervy about it (I prefer to leave that to Booktok) but Iñaki Godoy is an extremely good-looking kid. He gets Pajiba 10 points for his luscious head of hair alone.

The actor, who only turned 20 earlier this year, is a relative newcomer to Hollywood. Last year he starred in the underappreciated Netflix project The Imperfects and this year he was the lead in the streaming service’s live-action adaptation of One Piece.

As Monkey D. Luffy, the naive yet determined leader of The Straw Hat Pirates, Iñaki was charming, vulnerable, heroic, and funny. Loyal to a fault and ready to go to battle even for those friends who had seemingly betrayed him, Monkey and his Gum Gum attacks won the hearts and minds of his reluctant crew who fully leaned into his eccentricities by the end of Season 1.

Iñaki Godoy’s Instagram feed and website are refreshingly free of thirst traps. He seems like a pretty normal kid, excited about the world being opened up to him as an up-and-coming star. We should get ahead of this and vote him into the Pajiba 10 before the rest of the world catches on. Pajiba needs to maintain our “We Liked Him Before Anyone Else” bragging rights.
