Three Trailers: A Little Wonder, a Little Cemetery, and a Little Hood

Marvel Television keeps chugging along. Wonder Man might be the antidote to “superhero fatigue.” I’ve said that before and been wrong. This looks fun in a way that’s lampooning the process behind making Marvel movies, and it’s me giving serious Ms. Marvel vibes. Plus, I really love this Ben Kingsley character.

Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman), Zlatko Burić (Triangle of Sadness), Ben Kingsley, X Mayo, Olivia Thirlby (Dredd), Lauren Glazier (Mindhunter), Byron Bowers (Kimi), Demetrius Grosse, and Ed Harris.

The eight-episode series premieres on Disney+ on January 27th.

The team behind Slow Horses is bringing us Down Cemetery Road, starring Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson, later this month. I will watch these two women in basically anything, but this looks particularly up a lot of our collective alleys.

Down Cemetery Road will have a 2-episode premiere on October 29th on AppleTV.

I’m not sure if anyone else watches MGM+ (they have a stellar back catalog of movies). Or if anyone is still as into Robin Hood stories as I am (not you, 2018 Robin Hood). But MGM+ is bringing us a promising-looking Robin Hood series later this fall.

The series stars Sean Bean, Connie Nielsen (Nobody 2), Steven Waddington, Angus Castle-Doughty (Shadow and Bone), Lydia Peckham, Lauren McQueen, and Jack Patten (NCIS: Sidney) as Robin of the Hood.

For this week’s lagniappe, I want you to know I’m constantly on the lookout for the next Hot Frosty. This is probably not it, but maybe! Even if it’s not, I love Paris and I love champagne. So I’m calling dibs on this for review.
