Do you remember the movie Troll? No, not that one. The other one. That one has a sequel coming out on Netflix later this year. It looks great. Way better than the other Troll 2, which was about goblins.

The first Troll was the most popular non-English language film on Netflix. The sequel comes from the same creative team of director Roar Uthaug and writer Espen Aukan.

Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim Falck, and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen will reprise their roles when Troll 2 premieres on Netflix on December 1st.

She Rides Shotgun opened in exactly one movie theater in Manhattan earlier this week, so I figured I could still include it here while we wait to see if it gets a wider release or comes to streaming. It does star Taron Egerton after all.

She Rides Shotgun also stars Ana Sophia Heger (Life in Pieces), Rob Yang (The Menu), and John Carroll Lynch (most recently in Ballard). It might be playing in a theater near you! You should check.

The trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt is giving Oleanna vibes. Or, at least, Mamet vibes. I don’t hate that. But I’m not sure I love it either. I do love this cast, though.

I don’t love Chloë Sevigny’s hair in this. But Andrew Garfield, Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, and Michael Stuhlbarg all look good.

After The Hunt opens in theaters on October 10th.

This week’s lagniappe is for the gamers and our Aussie/NZ readers because Exit 8 looks like it’s only coming to your theaters. The rest of us will have to wait for A24’s The Backrooms movie for our liminal space freakout film.
