I was initially disappointed that Riff Raff isn’t a prequel to Rocky Horror Picture Show. But this looks pretty good, too. Director Dito Montiel also directed 2006’s A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, which I remember liking. The writer, John Pollono, is responsible for Small Engine Repair, which wasn’t great, but at least it was interesting, so maybe it will all wash out. The cast they’ve put together for this one can only help.
Riff Raff features an ensemble that includes Jennifer Coolidge, Ed Harris, Gabrielle Union, Bill Murray, Pete Davidson, P.J. Byrne (A Complete Unknown), Lewis Pullman (Salem’s Lot), and Scott Michael Campbell (Shameless)
Riff Raff opens in theaters on February 28th.
I make no apologies for Miles Teller remaining at the top of my Most Punchable Hollywood Faces list. It is what it is, my dude. While I usually like Anya Taylor-Joy, I laughed out loud when the guy in this trailer tells Teller’s character what The Gorge is. So I can’t say I think this will be good. It might be hilarious, though.
Spend your Valentine’s Day guarding the world from the forces of Hell on AppleTV+ when The Gorge premieres on February 14th.
Ang Lee’s 1993 The Wedding Banquet was great. And now Andrew Ahn, who directed 2022’s Fire Island, is bringing what looks like a worthy remake to theaters starring Bowen Yang and Lilly Gladstone
The Wedding Banquet also stars Kelly Marie Tran, Han Gi-chan, Joan Chen (Twin Peaks), and Youn Yuh-jung (Minari) and opens in theaters on April 18th.
As lagniappe, the new Alien Earth teaser doesn’t give us much except hope for the new installment in the franchise. Don’t let us down, Noah Hawley.
