Jack Quaid is having his firework moment, huh? He’s already been in Novacaine and Companion this year. And later this month he’s starring in Neighborhood Watch with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. This is the mystery-solving duo we need. The synopsis calls them an “unlikely duo,” but they make perfect sense to me.
Neighborhood Watch also stars Malin Akerman, Cecile Cubiló (Pulse), Jim Klock, and Derrick Goodman Jr. It opens in theaters on April 25th.
*Content Warning* The rest of this week’s trailers are a real grab bag of weird, wild, unhinged shit.
Primitive War is a Vietnam War movie with a giant twist that has teeth. Let me know when you figure out what it is. And no, I don’t mean Jeremy Piven. If I had, I would have said a short twist with a bad hairpiece.
Primitive War stars Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), and Nick Wechsler (The Boys). It will be in theaters sometime this year.
As far as I can tell, Abruptio has been kicking around the horror film festival circuit for a couple of years. I’m not sure it should have been allowed to breach containment because this is capital W Weird, even by my standards.
Some of those voices belong to James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jordan Peele, Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect), Christopher McDonald (Hacks) and Sid Haig(The Devil’s Rejects). It’s available to stream on Fandango At Home.
This week’s lagniappe poses the question, “What’s the one thing every other film adaptation of Cinderella has been missing?” And the answer is, obviously, grotesque body horror.
Hey, I gave you a content warning.
