Peacock’s Poker Face returns for a second season later this spring with a list of guest stars too long to include here. But some of the folks you can expect to see are Awkwafina, Method Man, John Mulaney, Ego Nwodim, Sam Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Cynthia Erivo, Margo Martindale , John Cho, Jason Ritter, and Melanie Lynskey.
Whew. No one wears tube socks like Natasha Lyonne.
Poker Face begins streaming May 8th on Peacock with a three-episode premiere and then new episodes every Thursday.
After a four-year hiatus, Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood) is back in the director’s chair. His next film, One Battle After Another, looks kind of goofy. You have to have faith in PTA. But, it’s going to take me a minute to get past DiCaprio’s mustache, though.
One Battle After Another also stars Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor (Coming 2 America), Chase Infiniti (Presumed Innocent), and Alana Haim. It opens in theaters on September 26th.
Whoever cut this promo for Final Destination Bloodlines really knew what they were doing. I’m not sure the franchise has much meat left on its bones (this is the sixth one! How did we get here?). But I will absolutely accept a 100% fan service sequel as long as everyone knows what movie they’re making, and it looks like they do. The trailer is apparently resonating, too: It’s the second most popular horror movie trailer of all time behind only It.
Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones (Chucky), Richard Harmon (Grave Encounters I & II), Owen Patrick Joyner (Henry Danger), Anna Lore (They/Them), Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd (RIP) star in Final Destination Bloodlines. It opens on May 6th in theaters and IMAX (oh lord.)
Al Pacino heard Russell Crowe’s dialect work in The Pope’s Exorcist and said “Hold my beer.” Thus, this week’s lagniappe was born. One old priest, one young priest (Dan Stevens), check and check. Must be an exorcism!
