Following in the footsteps of The Lion King, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s animated feature Tangled has been transformed into a whimsical live-action stage show, which premieres tomorrow on the cruise ship the Disney Magic. Not only does Tangled: The Musical boast animated elements, peculiar puppetry, lush sets and true-to-character costumes, but also it contains new songs from 8-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken.

Thankfully, you don’t have to board a boat and book a ticket to get a taste of how this underrated Disney gem looks on stage. Three new numbers from the show have been released online through Inside The Magic.

First up, a song that literally sets the stage, “Flower of Gold,” complete with the introduction of that sultry Mother Gothel.

Here comes the smolder! “Wanted Man” is a jaunty jam about that dashing rogue Flynn Rider. Bonus: it introduces a nightmarish Maximus.

FINALLY we get to Rapunzel. In “When She Returns,” we see the villagers sing the long lost princess’s praises, unaware she’s in their midst! Squee!

There’s no word on where Tangled: The Musical will hit next. But if it does well on the cruise ship, you can bet Disney will be eying a spot on Broadway once more.

H/T Slash Film

Kristy Puchko is furious every time she goes to karaoke and doesn’t find “Mother Knows Best” in their song books.
