The 96th Academy Award Nominations Are Here!

The 2024 Oscar nominations are here! Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid got up early to make the announcement for the 96th Academy Awards.

The noms were all pretty expected, for the most part. There were a few surprises here and there, such as America Ferrera getting in for Best Supporting Actress and Sterling K. Brown making Best Supporting Actor. Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall outperformed even my highest expectations, as did the excellent The Zone of Interest. But then there’s the near total omission of May December — no Charles Melton?! — and no Greta Gerwig in directing.

The 96th Oscars take place on March 10 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
