OF COURSE Star-Lord Feels Threatened By Thor
The general consensus concerning Avengers: Infinity War is that, while it looks totally awesome, it’s going to be a painful experience. With contracts ending and storylines running out of ground, Marvel is definitely going to kill off some favorites (perhaps even permanently) in the fight against Thanos.
However, it won’t be all gloom and doom. The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has long balanced pathos with jokes, and it looks like that lovable group of a-holes will be shouldering the levity once again in Infinity War. The latest TV spot might be the funniest bit that we’ve seen yet.
Following Thor: Ragnarok, there is little doubt that Thor is going to fit in nicely with the Guardians, but the fact that Star-Lord is immediately threatened by the muscle-bound god is so in line with his character that we should have seen this coming from miles away. Peter Quill has shown himself to be a cocky bastard, but that bravado only goes so far. In the battle of the Marvel Chrises, there can only be One True Chris… well, that’s Evans, but Hemsworth is a close second.
