Last summer, Tiffany Haddish took the world by storm in her scene-stealing turn in the outrageous and hilarious Girls Trip. There was even hope that she might overcome Oscar’s disdain for comedy to score a Best Supporting Actress nod! That didn’t happen, but she did win an NYCC award and gave an outstanding acceptance speech. Plus Haddish had such esteemed filmmakers as P.T. Anderson publicly pining to work with her. She made history on Saturday Night Live. Then came news she’d snagged a role in The Lego Movie 2, and presumably Hollywood is scrambling to add this charm bomb performer to their projects. Our reaction can be summed up by Haddish’s face on its poster.
Night School hits theaters on September 28th. In the meantime, maybe check out Haddish in the Tracy Morgan show The Last O.G., which has good buzz and premieres tonight on TBS.
