Apparently May 21st is “John Wick 3 Casting News Day” because the film’s Twitter profile has been on FIRE with casting announcements for the past few hours. The first big name to join the Keanu Reeves shoot-em-up three-peat venture is Halle Berry, confirmed via what is absolutely a personalized Halle Berry handwritten original note AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE:
.@HalleBerry has a message for you, Mr. Wick.

While the nature of her role hasn’t been confirmed, The Hollywood Reporter claims she isn’t playing the villain.
BUT WAIT — THERE’S MORE!

Billions’s Asia Kate Dillon will be playing a character named “The Adjudicator”, while Iron Chef America’s Mark Dacascos will appear as “Zero.” Even more exciting? Anjelica freaking Huston is stepping away from Wes Anderson for a hot sec to play a character called “The Director.”
And Jason “Pimento 4Eva” Mantzoukas is going to be playing “Tick Tock Man” — a character that presumably has nothing to do with either “The Tick-Tock Man” from Stephen King’s Dark Tower book, The Waste Lands, or Harlan Ellison’s short story, “‘Repent, Harlequin!’ Said the Ticktockman”. Or maybe it has to do with both! All I know is that these new characters sound like the line-up of one of those darker, more violent superhero teams, and if that means John Wick is going to be the next Avengers then I’m HERE for it.
And if you’re wondering what franchise regulars have been confirmed to return for the next installment, we’ve got some good news:

No word yet on whether the pitbull will be back, but I think it’s safe to say if that dog falls by the wayside audiences will fucking revolt. Or at least I will. Don’t mess with my emotions twice, John Wick!
