Following in the grand tradition of ill-thought-out movies based on kid crap, like Battleship, and G.I. Joe we have a Spirit Halloween movie to look forward to this fall. Yay?

Even for a tweenybopper movie, this looks incredibly dumb. I have never been inside a pop-up, Spirit Halloween store that had that much cool stuff in it. They’re all just vaguely organized piles and racks of cheap, overly-sexualized costumes and face painting sets that are guaranteed to give you acne that lasts until Thanksgiving.
Spirit Halloween The Movie was written and directed by a pair of folks who have thinner resumes than I do and stars Christopher Lloyd, Rachel Leigh Cook, and Marla Gibbs (??!?!?) This will surely be a thing that is on screens somewhere beginning October 11th and is not at all a 90+ minute commercial for the store.
