Old School. Biblically Independent.

Hypnotic has a strong cast, Ben Affleck looks gruff, Alice Braga looks tough, and William Fitchner looks … well he looks like William Fitchner, which is to say “up to no good.” As a director, Robert Rodriguez has an interesting resumé and he’s got a lifetime pass from me for The Faculty alone.
This trailer reminds me a lot of Push, Jumper, Shutter Island, and Wanted in that it’s high concept with some watchable actors, but I’m not convinced it’s going to make a lot of sense when we see the whole movie. It got some good reviews at SXSW, though. So, who knows?
Hypnotic opens in theaters on May 12th.
