If Dr. Phil has imparted one clear, unmitigated lesson to his audience, I’m pretty sure it’s this:
Never, ever let an incomplete or incorrect understanding of the basic facts of a story keep you from making and passing judgement.
Well done, Dr. Phil. It’s that sort of well researched, insightful reasoning that’s kept you on air for these past 16 years despite not being a licensed psychologist for 8 of those. Don’t let anything, not even objective facts or “the truth,” hold you down.
