Who doesn’t love Walton Goggins? The Alabama-born, Georgia-raised character actor is having a bit of a moment. After many years of being a reliable supporting player in tons of films and TV shows, stealing scenes left and right, he’s become a bona fide leading man. The one-two punch of Fallout and The White Lotus has put him at the forefront of our minds, elevating his status well beyond what even his most dedicated fans could have foreseen. Dare we say it, but Walton love is now mainstream, and he seems to be loving it. Yup, Goggins is thirst-trapping up a storm.

The promo cycle has been a great opportunity for Goggins to remind the world that he’s hot as f*ck and you’re not alone in thinking so. He’s often been cited as one of those guys who is unconventionally attractive, the kind of crush where you’re supposed to be kind of embarrassed to admit. I’ve seen a lot of straight dudes online act baffled at the prospect of Goggins as a sex symbol, which is just part of an age-old cycle of men not understanding what women actually find hot. To me, Goggins’ appeal is obvious. For one, he’s charming and magnetic, easy-going yet able to laugh at himself. It’s like if McConaughey didn’t think he was the leader of a hippie cult. This is a man with swagger. It’s so potent that he made being a noseless rotting ghoul in Fallout the biggest ‘hear me out’ moment of 2024.

The supposed unusualness of Goggins’ face is part of the appeal. He’s got a large forehead, the biggest teeth in the biz, and a sharpness to his bone structure that makes his face seem impossibly angular at times. In an age of fillers and jaw implants, Goggins is undeniably real. Also, let’s not act like he doesn’t have a f*cking body to kill for. That is a chest that will not quit.

I’m not saying he’s a bad guy or anything — he seems to be happily married and his reputation in the industry is good — but he has that quality I can only describe as ‘I’d let him ruin my life.’ Does he maybe smell like cigars and bourbon?
