Remember when Vanessa Hudgens did an Instagram Live during the first COVID lockdown in 2020? She got in trouble for complaining about the lockdowns and saying, “People are gonna die, which is terrible, but…inevitable?” She apologized, of course, but did she learn her lesson?

Answer: No. The perennially out-of-touch star is back again, this time with complaints about wedding planning and how much everything costs.

“It’s crazy, the industry of weddings. My best friend is getting married as well. And she’s going through it and I was just like, ‘My God, dresses are so expensive. It’s nuts,’” Hudgens told People.

Yes, it is nuts. You’re right. But, girl, it is not a good look for you to be complaining about money. You’re Vanessa Hudgens. You’re probably still getting High School Musical checks. You have, like, twelve businesses. There’s Cali Water, which I think is just flavored cactus water, the most Vanessa Hudgens thing ever. Then there’s KNOW Beauty, which is a line of masks made of “glacial bay clay,” whatever that is. And don’t forget Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits, which reportedly made $1 million in its first year of business. Your estimated net worth is $18 million. Saying nothing is free. Shush.

This isn’t the first time she’s expressed her frustration with the wedding industry. On a Drew Barrymore Show appearance in May, she said she was thinking about eloping, saying, “Finding a venue is tough. I’m lost. I don’t know.”

Here’s an idea: rent the baseball field your fiancé plays on. That would be chic! You can have an open bar with your craft spirits and cactus water. You’ll figure it out, babe.
