Twitter Reacts to Grimes Casually Reading the Communist Manifesto

Up until a few years ago (or whenever the hell it actually was—it might’ve been weeks, who even knows with the way time is these days), I had never heard of Grimes. Not once did her name or music cross over into my often very ignorant world. I still wouldn’t be able to name or identify a song of hers, but at least now I know who she is. Sort of. I know she was with Elon Musk. That’s when I became aware of her—when she got together with a guy whose existence I wish I also wasn’t aware of. All that is to say: I’ve got minimal knowledge or opinion about Grimes. You don’t need to know much however to see that these images that emerged of her over the weekend, out and about in LA, reading the Communist Manifesto while dressed like a pantomime Batman villain, are objectively hilarious:
