That Is Literally So Raven: Raven-Symoné Has Psychic Experiences

On a recent episode of “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda,” Raven-Symoné and her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday were joined by Keke Palmer for a game of Spin the Wheel, where the three would discuss whatever random word the wheel landed on.

This time, the word happened to be, you guessed it, “psychic.” Keke Palmer was adamant that she believed in psychics.

“I think there’s psychic abilities that we can all tap into,” she said, using an example of the sensation of déjà vu, and explaining that some people are simply more receptive to the “vibes” than others.

“I believe in psychics as well, pun fucking intended,” Raven agreed. A sudden hush fell over the world. Younger millennials everywhere, this writer included, leaned in to hear the Disney queen herself telling us what we’ve always hoped to be true.

“I can walk into a room and read the room. People might not think that’s psychic but what that is is reading energy and energy is in the psychic plane because it’s not on a physical material plane … There’s also the conversation of déjà vu you brought up … I do have moments where … I really will just stare and I will see a scene that is happening, that has happened to me or going to happen in another dimension and I feel it in my body.”

Palmer asked if she knew anything about the other version of her living in this other dimension.

“The way that we connect is through our trauma,” she explained. “When I was younger and I had certain traumatic experiences, I personally remember, after, doing meditation to a level that other people would be like, ‘What are you doing?’ I’d be like, ‘No, I need to light my candles, I’m seven, I know, but I need to light my candles and I need to meditate’ and I just allowed my spirit guides to help me.”

I’m just happy to have a Raven-sanctioned reason to burn candles as much as I do. You can’t judge me for spending $40 on a candle when I’m gonna use it for mediating and communicating with my spirit guides!

As for Palmer, she put it this way: “I have a knowing. I have a deep knowing.”
