Taylor Swift Had A Birthday Party, Famous People Attended

Yesterday was Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday and she threw a party at Outer Heaven, a “high-end, bespoke cocktail lounge & microclub” on the Lower East Side. Sigh. I’m too poor and uncool to know what a microclub is. Later, the celebration moved down the street to The Box nightclub.

At the beginning of the night, TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year arrived with one of her many famous BFFs, Blake Lively. Unfortunately, boyfriend Travis Kelce was a no-show: he had mandatory football practice in Missouri. See, this is why Taylor’s birthday should be a national holiday! To avoid disasters like this.

Blake and Taylor entered together. Blake wore black leather, Taylor wore a super-cute Clio Peppiatt black dress, featuring bejeweled silver embellishments of the night sky. The birthday girl matched that shit with a glittery silver purse. Other celebrities in attendance included Gigi Hadid and Antoni Porowski, Sabrina Carpenter, two of the three Haim sisters, Zoë Kravitz sans Channing Tatum, Jack Antonoff, Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry. They both left the first bar with Taylor.

Was there a dress code? Well, based on those photos, it was “mostly black,” featuring grey and white. Who knows? I imagine it’s like the one time I went to a fancy TIFF party. Everybody’s eyes were darting around the room, desperately trying to locate and schmooze with celebrities. It made sustaining an actual conversation impossible. “Oh yeah? You’re not originally from Toronto? That’s inter… OMG, Blake! BLAKE! Over here! It’s been too long, girl. How are Ryan and the kids?”
