Taylor Swift Fans Are Wary of Travis Kelce After Super Bowl Outburst

Swifties far and wide tuned in for last night’s Super Bowl to cheer on their queen’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. There were #87 friendship bracelets galore and outfit breakdown posts as soon as Taylor Swift walked into the stadium. Following the announcement of a brand new album clearly dedicated the the breakup of her previous relationship earlier in the week, the fans were rabid for this seemingly wholesome love story.

But then Mr. Swift threw a tantrum, yelling at his coach Andy Reid on the sideline. Now, Swift’s most loyal supporters are warning her to steer clear of Kelce’s obvious “red flag” behavior.

“Taylor, my darling, my dove, my lamb, this is a big red flag,” one fan wrote. “That aggression isn’t what Taylor needs,” wrote another.

Reid laughed it off and said, “He keeps me young.”

Kelce then did damage control in his post-game interviews and assured the world he loves his coach. Everyone chalked it up to high-stakes emotion. You’re at the Super Bowl! Your billionaire girlfriend is watching! Understandable.

And I am … not surprised by any of this.

When Swift started dating Kelce, I thought, “Yeah, makes sense.” It’s like we’re watching her finally live out the plot of the “You Belong With Me” music video; it was only a matter of time until she started dating a football player, and what better time than when she’s arguably at the top of her game? Frankly, Kelce seemed so mild-mannered at first (to me, someone who’s never watched more than five minutes of football in her life) that I thought for sure she’d get bored of him.

But then she acted out at the Grammys and once again everyone was like, “She has social anxiety!” and “She was drunk!” so she got away with it, and I was reminded of what a messy red flag she is herself. They’re both waving red flags left and right. The only question is: who’s gonna be the bull?
