Sir Patrick Stewart Makes An Ill Girl's Lifetime By Being Awesome

Sir Patrick Stewart attended Dragon Con this past August and took the opportunity to make Dawn Garrigus’ life a little brighter. Dawn suffers from mitochondrial disease, which is progressive and causes mental, physical, and developmental disabilities. The Make-A-Wish foundation helped the 11-year-old attend the sci-fi event so she could attend the panel of her favorite show,Star Trek: The Next Generation.

When he heard about Dawn attending the panel, the gloriously talented and generous Stewart decided to surprise her with a one-on-one meeting. We should all aspire to be such compassionate humans as the intergalactic treasure that is Sir Patrick Stewart.
