Rachel Lindsay’s Husband Bryan ‘Dr. Abs’ Abasolo Files For Divorce

Rachel Lindsay was the last Bachelorette I actually liked. Actually, she might have been the last Bachelor Nation contestant I actually liked. I don’t follow her, because I make a point of not following any of these people on Instagram, even if I like them, but I check in every once in a while to make sure she’s still married to the guy she picked at the end of her season, because I can’t believe they still are, because I couldn’t believe she picked him in the first place, because I was among the very sane majority who expected, hoped, prayed she would pick Peter Kraus.

But, alas, I and everyone else were disappointed when she chose Bryan Abasolo, a chiropractor who goes by “Dr. Abs”, to wed. This was in 2017, and they finally tied the knot in 2019. It looked like a nice wedding!

Something has always bothered me though. Maybe it’s that they don’t post much of each other, an unfortunately realistic measure of a reality TV couple’s happiness. My suspicions were confirmed last night, when I got bored of the book I was reading in an attempt to ward off insomnia, opened Instagram, and saw the headline.

Dr. Abs then posted this:

Lindsay has yet to respond.

It was Dr. Abs who officially filed, citing Sunday as the date of separation and “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

I’m just sad that my girl couldn’t file before he could. A man who refers to himself as “Dr. Abs” divorced you first? Ouch.
