David Anthony Burke, known as the singer D4vd, is currently on trial for murder. Prosecutors claim they have reams of evidence that prove Burke killed Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The latest developments (via the BBC) are chilling.

In a recent evidence filing, wherein they hope to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Burke stabbed a teenage girl to death then disposed of her body, they allege that they have proof of purchases he made online to clean up the crime scene. This reportedly includes two chainsaws, a body bag, a shovel, and an incineration tool called a “burn cage.”

The filing also outlines text message conversations between Burke and the victim, wherein she texted threats to “disclose damaging information about her relationship with the defendant to end his career,” the filing states. Prosecutors say in the court document that they believe the teen was killed the following day. On the week Rivas Hernandez went missing, D4vd’s first studio album was released. The court document also states that surveillance footage shows Burke was the last person to drive his Tesla, where the body was found in September of last year.

Last week, the prosecution said that investigators had collected about 40 terabytes of evidence, which allegedly includes “a significant amount” of images of CSA. Prosecutors say that Burke met Rivas Hernandez when she was 11 and that he began abusing her sexually two years later, when he was 18.

Burke has pleaded not guilty and his defence team has said that the “evidence will show that David did not kill Celeste.”
