Megan thee Stallion is ready for the next act of her career. A new album is on the horizon, her first since 2024's Megan, and we got a taste of what's to come with her newest song, "Tina Tuesday Freestyle." 2026 has also seen her make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge!, guest star in The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, produce and cameo in Netflix's Roommates, release her own perfume an tequila brand, sing a song for the World Cup, and open up a Popeyes franchise. Oh, and she adopted a doggo. It's been a good year, as long as you ignore the sh*tbag ex, Klay Thompson, who she broke up with due to his infidelity. And boy, the Hotties will not let that man forget the mess he made. You could have had it all, Klay! You bum!

Megan was profiled in the latest issue of Marie Claire. She gets candid about her long-term career aspirations, her health, and, of course, the ex. She details the difficulties of a Broadway schedule and juggling eight shows a week with other professional obligations, all of which led to a serious case of exhaustion. "I thought I was having a stroke," she says. "I wasn't getting any oxygen to my brain, so my hands had froze. My face had froze. I was trying to tell everybody that I don't think I'm okay. They only thought I was dehydrated." During one performance, she had trouble breathing, which led to her leaving the stage and going to hospital with a panic attack. Megan's been candid about her physical and mental health problems for many years now, letting the Hotties know about putting yourself first. A Hot Girl Summer is a Rested Girl Summer.

With the Klay breakup, she admitted that things have been tough. When she ended the relationship, she accused him of cheating, getting "cold feet" about a long-term romance (they'd already bought a house together by this point), and of having "HORRIBLE mood swings" that left her feeling as though she was treading on eggshells. "I'm not pretending I'm 100 percent okay," she says. "I ain't never been through nothing like that in my whole life. I've never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever. So I'm definitely not worried about another one for a long time." The breakup was "abrupt. I'm in shock still," but post-Klay, she feels that it's best for her to be on her own right now.

"It's gonna be right. It's not gonna feel like a panic all the time. I feel like that's what I was in, constantly on edge. My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24/7. I'm still not eating all the way right. I'm feeling all the feelings. I'm not trying to take no shortcuts."

Klay Thompson, may you spend your days walking barefoot across upturned plugs and Lego bricks.
