Jennifer Lopez is on the promotional trail for her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman. It’s a musical adaptation of the novel by Manuel Puig, which was turned into an Oscar-winning film with Raúl Juliá and William Hurt in the ’80s. Lopez is tentatively dipping her toes back into Oscar campaigning after being burned by the Hustlers snub (by her own admission, that stung).
Doing the circuit for this film could be awkward because one of the producers is Ben Affleck. The pair reunited for the film’s New York premiere. And let me tell you: that chemistry has never quelled. Bennifer is still red hot and sexy as hell.

Is it cheesy to admit that I’m still rooting for these crazy kids?
There’s still clearly a lot of love and respect between Affleck and Lopez, even after the (very public and messy) divorce. Their families still hang out together. They’re still professionally involved. It would have been easy for him to skip out on this premiere since he’s not a star, but he was there for Jennifer and her big moment. Maybe I’m just a sucker for a classic second/third/fourth chance romance. But can you blame me? Look at those gazes. Apparently, Lopez was recently seen hanging out with Ridley Scott near Affleck’s offices. Now there’s a collaboration I’d like to see.
