Is This the Long Awaited End of Ramona Singer?

After Monday’s Vanity Fair Housewives exposé in which Eboni K. Williams detailed her former Real Housewives of New York costar, Ramona Singer’s, rampant racism, including her use of the N-word in the presence of a Black staffer, it seems the day we’ve been waiting for has finally come.

How dost thou ruin thyself, Ramona? Let me count the ways:

1. She spoke with a PageSix reporter in response to the VF article, and in an attempt to defend her use of the racial slur, she basically used it again.

2. When news of that broke, she was pulled from BravoCon, the network’s long weekend convention in Las Vegas featuring panels and interviews with its stars. This, in 2023, is the ultimate signal of a Bravo star’s demise, as BravoCon has become a birthing ground for dramatic moments that bleed into regular show seasons. (The above photo is of Ramona at last year’s BravoCon “Legends Ball.”) Even with Ramona’s current status as a former Housewife, she is still a network darling and has appeared on Watch What Happens Live at least twice in the past month or so. Being uninvited to BravoCon probably means that won’t happen anymore.

3. This is my favorite, so please let me milk it: she was fired from her real estate job at the Douglas Elliman firm!!! You have to understand that when we met this woman nearly 15 years ago, she was buying stock from department stores and reselling it at higher prices and also selling Christian jewelry for her now ex-husband’s company. After she got divorced, she was … retired? Unemployed? Just going to bars to pick up men a lot? It was unclear. But then, suddenly, she redecorated her Hampton’s house, sold her apartment, and was interested in real estate! It’s like I’ve always said: Those who can, do, those who can’t do, teach, and those who can’t teach, sell real estate. But now she can’t even do that!

I can’t wait to see how she ruins her own life next.
