Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh is a lifestyle blog meets health and wellness shop meets vanity project, and when it launched in 2019 it was immediately called a ripoff of Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle blog meets health and wellness shop meets vanity project, launched in 2008-ish. Paltrow did not agree.

“I was so upset when Poosh was launched and people were like, ‘This is a ripoff of Goop,’” she said in a recent interview meant to promote some other woo-woo thing she’s selling. “I was like, this is so awful, and trying to put us against one another, which is so crazy.”

“The world is better and stronger when women are in cahoots with one another. I feel like the patriarchy does this thing to us where they make us feel scarcity and that there’s not enough for all of us to do our thing. And it’s so detrimental.”

Which is why she and Kardashian were “so excited to do the candle” they collaborated on, aptly labeled “This Smells Like My Pooshy.”

“I thought it was hilarious,” Paltrow said.

“I love that we’re using this collab as an opportunity to share the message that there’s space for everyone in the health and wellness community and that we don’t have to pit women and their brands against each other,” Kardashian said of the candle. “The wellness community focuses on sharing positive information that can help make people’s lives better, so I believe there is space, and actually a need, for anyone who contributes and believes in this cause. I’ve always supported and look up to Gwyneth for paving the way for wellness-focused lifestyle brands like mine, and I am so happy that we were able to work on a project together, and I hope there’s more to come!”

Yes, the wellness community is big enough for two billionaires to make $75 vagina-scented candles. Now that’s empowerment.
