This Is For The Studio Exec Who Thinks Women Are Rarely Funny And Beautiful

Remember a time not so long ago when comediennes repeatedly had to address to so-called issue that “women aren’t funny”? Well, just when we thought that asshattery had become obsolete, former Disney CEO Michael Eisner made a speech where he declared, “From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman.”

What’s further infuriating is that he made these comments while trying to praise Goldie Hawn at the Aspen Ideas Festival, because you can’t celebrate one woman’s talents without insulting the rest of her gender. But Eisner wasn’t done, saying (via THR):

“In the history of the motion-picture business, the number of beautiful, really beautiful women — a Lucille Ball — that are funny, is impossible to find.”

AND

“They usually — boy am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online — but usually, unbelievably beautiful women, you being an exception, are not funny.”

We reached out to some women we find beautiful and funny for comment:

Kristy Puchko welcomes you to share your own favorite beautiful funny women in comments. It’d be a huge help to the likes of Michael Eisner apparently.
