Drake Gives Recently Dumped Concertgoer $50,000: 'F*** that Young Lady'

Last week, Drake took his “It’s All a Blur” tour to Miami. During the concert, the former Degrassi star noticed a male fan in the front row holding a sign that said, “I spent all my savings buying tickets for me and my ex, but Honestly, Nevermind, it’s really Her Loss.”

Personally, I loathe that sort of “woe is me” nonsense. But I guess Drake likes it cuz he announced that it was “a good sign to pick tonight.” Apparently, the 36-year-old rapper has a habit of picking his favorite fan-made signs and rewarding the sign-makers with lavish gifts. See: that time he gave two newlyweds a free trip to Turks and Caicos cuz their sign said they’d canceled their honeymoon to be at his show.

Drake read the fan’s sign out loud and confirmed the facts: “So she ain’t come with you tonight? She ain’t come with you tonight to the Drake show? What the fuck is wrong with her?” That’s when the crowd began chanting, “Fuck that lady! Fuck that lady! Fuck that lady!”

Drake continued, “But you know what? She’s gonna feel real fucked up. Cuz Imma give you 50 bands so you can flex on her.” Yep, the (alleged) dumpee gets $50,000. The crowd went wild. Drake finished with, “That’s how we doin’ it tonight, big baller! It’s your night tonight. I’m gonna say it like y’all said it though: fuck that young lady!”

The clip went viral on Twitter, and reactions were mixed. Some thought it was a nice gesture; others accused Drake of being an “incel” and hating women (this tracks), and even more people pointed out that Drake doesn’t know the ex-girlfriend’s side of the story. Let’s be real: statistically speaking (based on the actions of all men ever), the guy’s likely the one in the wrong.

So, when will this mystery woman hop on to TikTok to give us a 6-part “story time” outlining all the horrible things her ex-boyfriend did to her? And how it’s an absolute travesty that this no-good, cheating, gaslighting, manipulative schmuck (OK, we don’t know that, but, again, we’re basing it on all of my, er, the world’s ex-boyfriends) has been rewarded with $50,000? The countdown is on!
