Did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Meet Through The Saunders Brothers?

The standout star of the Eras Tour movie for me wasn’t Taylor Swift herself but her backup dancer, Kam Saunders. This man utterly oozes with charisma and talent. I found myself missing him when he wasn’t there; I cheered and sat up straighter in my seat when he appeared on the stage. “I hope he gets more work out of this,” I said to my movie-going companion, thinking that would be the end of it. But the Swifties have been doing their work (as they are wont to do), and it turns out Saunders might be wielding the invisible strings of fate, as it were, because Kam Saunders happens to be the big brother of Travis Kelce’s former teammate, Khalen Saunders.

Khalen Saunders, 27, played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2019 to 2023. His brother Kam performed with Swift at the very stadium where the Chiefs play, Arrowhead Stadium, on the Eras Tour this summer. After playing in Kansas City, Kam wrote, “I’ll see some of you next month when my brother plays you guys in the first game of the season,” in an Instagram post. And the rest, as we know, is history.

Swift and her longtime beau, Joe Alwyn, broke up earlier this year, and her dancers probably lent an ear as she dealt with that heartbreak. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what might have happened. It’s basically the plot of a country song. Even Taylor couldn’t make this up.

He is definitely getting more work out of this.
